Join Buffalo Creek Gallery

We’re excited that you are interested in joining Buffalo Creek Gallery in Uptown Shelby. Our gallery consists of local artist members who display, sell their work, and cooperatively operate the gallery. We have a wide range of artists represented and look forward to considering your application to join.

There are two ways to join Buffalo Creek Gallery. You can either apply to become a member or apply to sell on consignment.

Our members are responsible for keeping the gallery open at their respective times, participating in management decisions, and maintaining the gallery. Our members also enjoy a lower commission rate on the sales of their artwork.

Become a Member

Our cooperation is as vital to our success as are our crafts. The basis for this cooperation is the trust and respect we have for each other, which allows us to work steadily toward the prosperity of Buffalo Creek Gallery and all its members.

With your application, please bring or send 5-10 pieces of your artwork, ready to hang or display and label each piece with the selling price (including the member commission rate— currently 15%). The artwork submitted should reflect the full range of work you wish to display and sell.

Apply to Sell on Consignment

Criteria for juried work is based on originality of design, artistic creativity, craftsmanship, and appropriateness to the scope of work that we currently carry.

With your application, please bring or send 5-10 pieces of your artwork, ready to display or hang, and label each piece with the retail price—understanding that the gallery will take a 35% commission from sales.

The artwork submitted should reflect the full range of work you intend to display and sell.
